⚖️ Section 160 – Liability of Insurer in Case of Transfer of Vehicle

📜 Section 160 का उद्देश्य

Section 160 यह सुनिश्चित करता है कि:

✔️ Vehicle का ownership transfer होने पर भी
✔️ पहले की insurance company third party claims के लिए liable रहे

मतलब: Accident किसी भी समय हो सकता है, और insurance coverage uninterrupted रहे।

🔶 Section 160 – मुख्य प्रावधान

📌 1️⃣ Transfer of Vehicle

• Vehicle owner बदलता है
• Sale, gift, inheritance आदि के कारण

📌 2️⃣ Insurance Continuity

• Previous owner की insurance policy
• Transfer के बाद भी
• Accident के समय valid रहे

📌 3️⃣ Third Party Rights

• Accident victim के rights unaffected
• Victim directly insurer से claim कर सकता है

📌 4️⃣ Insurer का Responsibility

• Transfer के बाद भी
• Accident के दौरान
• Insurance company की liability बनी रहती है

📌 5️⃣ Recovery Rights

• अगर insurer ने payment किया
• तो बाद में new owner / previous owner से recovery कर सकता है
