📜 Section 76 का उद्देश्य
Section 76 यह सुनिश्चित करता है कि:
✔️ Contract Carriage vehicles (जिन्हें passengers को pre-arranged agreement / contract के तहत ले जाया जाता है)
✔️ केवल RTA / STA द्वारा issued permit के तहत operate करें।
मतलब: Private hire vehicles, taxis और contract buses भी नियमों के अंतर्गत हों और public safety सुनिश्चित हो।
🔶 Section 76 – मुख्य प्रावधान
📌 1️⃣ Contract Carriage क्या है?
- Vehicle जो passengers को pre-arranged contract / hiring agreement के तहत ले जाता है
- Examples:
- Taxis / cabs
- Tourist buses hired for private trips
- Mini buses hired by institutions or companies
📌 2️⃣ Permit Requirements
- Contract Carriage permit के बिना operate नहीं कर सकता
- Permit में include होते हैं:
- Vehicle registration number
- Area of operation / permitted routes
- Passenger capacity
- Validity period
- Special conditions (insurance, fare limits, safety norms)
📌 3️⃣ Authority Control
- RTA / STA तय करती है:
- Number of vehicles per area
- Passenger / fare regulations
- Route restrictions (if any)
- Operational hours / night restrictions
📌 4️⃣ Safety और Passenger Protection
- Vehicle condition / fitness certificate required
- Valid insurance mandatory
- Maximum passenger limit strictly enforced
- Overcharging / illegal operation पर penalties

- Digital fare meters / GPS encouraged
