🔚 Section 96 – Power of Government to Exempt Certain Vehicles
(कुछ वाहनों को नियमों से छूट देने का प्रावधान)
📜 Section 96 का उद्देश्य
Section 96 यह सुनिश्चित करता है कि:
✔️ State / Central Government विशेष परिस्थितियों में कुछ vehicles को Motor Vehicles Act के कुछ provisions से छूट (exemption) दे सकें।
✔️ Administrative flexibility और public convenience सुनिश्चित हो।
मतलब: Certain government, emergency या special-purpose vehicles कुछ नियमों से temporarily या permanently छूट पा सकते हैं।
🔶 Section 96 – मुख्य प्रावधान
📌 1️⃣ Vehicles Eligible for Exemption
- Government vehicles
- Emergency vehicles (ambulance, fire brigade, police)
- Special purpose vehicles (military, disaster relief, etc.)
- Other vehicles notified by Government
📌 2️⃣ Conditions for Exemption
- Government notification के अनुसार
- Specific duration या purpose के लिए
- Safety / public interest को compromise नहीं करना चाहिए
📌 3️⃣ Powers of Government
- Exemption grant करना
- Terms & conditions specify करना
- Revoke या modify करना if necessary
📌 4️⃣ Legal Effect
- Exempted vehicles को specific rules / penalties apply नहीं होंगे
- अन्य vehicles के लिए normal rules और penalties लागू रहेंगे
