📜 Section 147 का उद्देश्य
Section 147 यह बताता है कि
motor vehicle insurance policy में क्या-क्या cover होना ज़रूरी है,
ताकि third party को accident के समय पूरा legal protection मिले।
🔶 Section 147 – मुख्य प्रावधान
📌 1️⃣ Valid Insurance Policy क्या cover करेगी?
Insurance policy को अनिवार्य रूप से cover करना होगा:
- Third party की death
- Third party की bodily injury
- Third party की property damage
📌 2️⃣ Third Party कौन होता है?
- Vehicle owner या driver के अलावा
- Accident से प्रभावित कोई भी व्यक्ति
- Passenger, pedestrian, cyclist आदि
📌 3️⃣ Liability की सीमा (Limit of Liability)
- Death / bodily injury →
👉 Unlimited liability (कोई upper limit नहीं) - Property damage →
👉 Statutory limit के अनुसार (as prescribed by law)
📌 4️⃣ Policy किन लोगों को cover नहीं करती?
Insurance policy mandatory रूप से cover नहीं करती:
- Vehicle owner खुद
- Gratuitous passenger (कुछ cases में)
- Contract के बाहर के risks
(इनके लिए extra cover लिया जा सकता है)

- Policy वैध मानी जाएगी
- तभी जब Section 147 की requirements पूरी हों
