📘 Chapter II – Licensing of Drivers

(वाहनों के प्रकार और उनके अनुसार लाइसेंस)

Section 10 यह स्पष्ट करता है कि:

Driving Licence अलग-अलग vehicle categories के लिए जारी किया जाता है।
किसी व्यक्ति को केवल वही vehicle category चलाने की अनुमति होगी जिसके लिए licence है।

इससे सड़क सुरक्षा बढ़ती है और गलत category का वाहन चलाने पर नियंत्रण रहता है।

HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicle)	Bus / Truck	20 वर्ष (Commercial)
HPMV (Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle)	Large passenger bus	20 वर्ष
Transport Vehicle	Commercial vehicles (Goods / Taxi)	20 वर्ष
Construction / Agricultural Vehicles	Tractors / Road rollers	As per State rules

📌 Note: 2019 Amendment में Electric Vehicles (EV) और aggregator vehicles भी clearly defined category में आए।

Applicant को केवल उस category के लिए licence दिया जाएगा जिसे उसने apply किया और test पास किया।
अन्य category के vehicles चलाना illegal माना जाएगा।
