🚗 Section 53 – Change of Address in Registration Certificate (RC)

(RC में पता बदलने का प्रावधान)

📜 Section 53 का उद्देश्य

Section 53 यह सुनिश्चित करता है कि:

✔️ यदि Vehicle Owner का पता बदलता है,
तो RC में नया पता update किया जाए।

उद्देश्य: Vehicle records को accurate और updated रखना, ताकि taxation, law enforcement और correspondence सही तरीके से हो।

🔶 Section 53 – मुख्य प्रावधान

📌 1. Change of Address कब आवश्यक है?

• Owner का residential address बदलने पर
• Owner का business / office address बदलने पर (commercial vehicles में)

📌 2. आवेदन प्रक्रिया

• Owner को Registering Authority / RTO में apply करना होगा
• Required documents:
  • Existing RC
  • Proof of new address (Aadhaar, electricity bill, rent agreement आदि)
  • Identity proof
  • Applicable fee
• Authority verification के बाद RC में address update किया जाएगा

📌 3. Time Limit

• Address change होने के 30 दिन के भीतर RC update कराना अनिवार्य
• Delay होने पर penalty लागू हो सकती है

📌 4. Legal Effect

• RC में updated address legal proof of ownership बन जाता है
• Traffic fines, insurance correspondence, accident claims और taxation updated address पर ही मान्य

📌 5. Digital / Online Update

• Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019 के बाद:
  • Online RC address change via Parivahan portal
  • Aadhaar / document verification mandatory
  • Quick processing और transparency
