🚗 Section 57 – Change of Registration Mark / Number

(RC में Registration Number बदलने का प्रावधान)

📜 Section 57 का उद्देश्य

Section 57 यह सुनिश्चित करता है कि:

✔️ यदि Vehicle का Registration Mark (Number Plate) बदलना आवश्यक हो,
तो Registering Authority द्वारा RC में updated number दर्ज किया जाए।

उद्देश्य: Vehicle identification, legal compliance और fraud prevention सुनिश्चित करना।

🔶 Section 57 – मुख्य प्रावधान

📌 1. Registration Number कब बदलता है?

• Vehicle state change / inter-state transfer पर
• Fancy / Special Number allocation होने पर (Section 44)
• RC lost / stolen या illegally duplicated होने पर
• Court / legal order के अनुसार

📌 2. आवेदन प्रक्रिया

• Owner को RTO / Registering Authority में apply करना होगा
• Required documents:
  • Original RC
  • Identity proof
  • Address proof
  • Court / authority order (if applicable)
  • Applicable fee
• Authority verification के बाद RC में new registration mark update किया जाएगा

📌 3. Legal Effect

• New registration number binding होगा
• Old registration number invalid हो जाएगा
• Traffic fines, insurance, taxation और enforcement new number पर ही applicable होंगे

📌 4. Digital / Online Update

• Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019 के बाद:
  • Parivahan portal पर online registration mark change possible
  • Fraud prevention, verification और transparency enhanced
