🚗 Section 63 – Assignment of New Registration Number after Cancellation or Surrender

(RC रद्द या surrender होने के बाद नए Registration Number का आवंटन)

📜 Section 63 का उद्देश्य

Section 63 यह सुनिश्चित करता है कि:

✔️ यदि Vehicle का RC cancel या surrendered किया गया है,
तो vehicle को नया Registration Number / RC assign किया जा सके।

उद्देश्य: Vehicle को legal रूप से road पर पुनः चलाने की अनुमति देना और proper records maintain करना।

🔶 Section 63 – मुख्य प्रावधान

📌 1. कब लागू होता है?

• Vehicle का RC cancel / surrendered हो गया हो
• Vehicle को reuse / resale / transferred करना हो
• Vehicle modifications / category change के बाद नया RC लेना हो

📌 2. Procedure for New Registration

• Owner को RTO / Registering Authority में apply करना होगा
• Required documents:
  • Previous RC cancellation / surrender certificate
  • Identity proof
  • Address proof
  • Vehicle inspection certificate (if applicable)
  • Applicable fee
• Authority verification के बाद new RC और new registration number issue किया जाएगा

📌 3. Legal Effect

• New RC के साथ vehicle legal और roadworthy होगा
• Old RC invalid माना जाएगा
• Traffic fines, insurance, taxation और liability new RC के अनुसार लागू होंगे

📌 4. Digital / Online Process

• Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019 के बाद:
  • Online application via Parivahan portal
  • Verification और RC issue digitally
  • Transparency और fraud-proof process
